Work closely with design & product to craft great product experiences

Be an expert in the languages, system components, and concepts of web applications: JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, web browsers, HTTP, content delivery networks

Be an expert in the tools and processes needed to build, deploy, and manage web applications: IDEs, linters, continuous integration, containerization

Be an expert in PayPal-specific components, services, and software development lifecycle that every web engineer at PayPal relies upon

Requirements:
-
Proficient in client & server-side JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, React.js, Redux and webpack
-
Competent in developing Node.js applications and building single-page web applications using React.js
-
Solid understanding of core JavaScript concepts

Experience with page optimization and page load time

Experience with cross-browser, cross-platform, and design constraints on the web

Experience in developing automated unit and functional tests

Experience in the agile development process

Solid knowledge of algorithms and design patterns

Have a passion for quality and writing clean, readable code that scales and performs well

Good interpersonal communication skills

2-4 years of experience in software design and web application development

BS or equivalent degree in Computer Science

Experience with front and backend test frameworks
